NOTE: After the entire process, if you are wearing the mala, you could remove the mala by chanting the moolamantra once. You could wear this mala whenever you want, or you could keep it for the following year sadhana, or you could continue to wear the mala as you did for this 11/21 days.

Varadeeksha Mala, is a ritual where people practice certain rules and austerities and pray for the fulfillment of their desires.  It is a ritualistic prayer which is being followed in India every year. It is a set of austerities followed by those who wish to partake the bounteous grace of Sri Amma Bhagavan that manifests in their life as thundering miracles.

Prayer and worship being an integral part of the ritual, helps the participant connect to the divine consciousness of Sri Amma Bhagavan and reap the fruits of the vows undertaken. When the set of austerities are practiced sincerely for 11 days or 21 days, the participant would cross various milestones, healing relationships, experiencing forgiveness and love, awakening to the Divine presence and so on.  Coincidences and miracles would become everyday happenings, as expressions of the boundless love of the Divine.

Every human being seeks for 5 basic things in life. They are abundant wealth, good health, love in relationships, happy future and a peaceful life. Life becomes more painful even if one is not fulfilled.

MALA DHARANAM (The Mala Ceremony)

You could wear the Varadeeksha mala (Sri Amma Bhagavan’s pendent in a chain) with the following intents:

  1. To experience the hand of grace in the form of coincidences and miracles.

  2. For wealth, health, setting right of relationships and success in all endeavors.

  3. For the flowering of the heart.

  4. To help usher in the Oneness Age and bring about global transformation.

RULES AND AUSTERITIES

  1. Wake up before sunrise and give arati to Sri Amma Bhagavan’s srimurti.

  2. Take Deeksha from Sri Amma Bhagavan’s Srimurti (picture of Sri Amma Bhagavan)

  3. Internally touch your parents’ feet and seek their blessings.

  4. Pray for any one intent individually or together as a family.

  5. Feed stray animals or birds sometime during the day.

  6. Do Amma Bhagavan Dhyana in the evening which is as follows - As you inhale deeply, visualize Amma Bhagavan in your heart. As you exhale, visualize yourself in Amma Bhagavan’s heart. Repeat this for 7 times.

  7. Before going to bed at night, seek forgiveness from those whom you have hurt during the day and forgive those who have hurt you. Express your gratitude to people who helped you that day and take an intent to help them too.

3 SACRED VOWS

  1. Speak auspiciously, do not speak ill or scold anybody.

  2. Refrain from bad habits.

  3. Eat light, depending on your health.

Mala Dharanam(wearing) - You could begin the ritual any day from Oct 22nd to Dec 19th

For those in the USA & Canada it began on Dec. 12 and the Golden Ball Darshan will be on Jan. 1 (see below). If you missed the start date, just begin now, as long as you have completed at least 11 days before Jan. 1.
